NYU PYTHON CERTIFICATE

I am starting a new career in software development late in life and I am looking for the fastest track at least to get my foot in the door. I wanted to know if anybody went the route of an NYU certifi I am starting a new career in software development late in life and I am looking for the fastest track at least to get my foot in the door. I wanted to know if anybody went the route of an NYU certificate in python. I was going to take the introductory course to start and then work on the completed certificate but I just wanted to know before I made the investment if it was worth it at getting me into the industry. Any advice or alternative game plan highly appreciated.
